I bet that somewhere in your house you have a big bottle of vinegar. Some people have theirs in their pantry, mine happens to be in my laundry room, but most of us have it somewhere. That’s for good reason.

There are so many things that vinegar can be used for and I bet there are plenty of uses that you didn’t even know about. If you are wondering how else you can put this great product to good use, check out these 15 unique uses for vinegar:
1. Dryer Sheets
If you find yourself out of dryer sheets, or, if you are looking for an alternative to them, soak a washcloth in vinegar and send it through the dryer with your clothes. It significantly decreases static clean and don’t worry, the vinegar smell goes away with the drying process.
2. Laundry Smells
Did you forget a load of laundry in the washer too long? Does it stink now? Pour ½ cup of white vinegar into the washer at the beginning of the cycle to rid your clothes of that sour smell.
3. Fabric Softener
Regular fabric softener tends to build up in your washing machine, instead use white vinegar as a fabric softener. Just add in ½ cup of vinegar during the final rinse cycle.
4. Stain and spot treatment
White vinegar makes a great spot treatment for your laundry stains. Spray onto the stain and let soak before sending through the laundry as usual. It works great on sweat stains!
5. Conditioner
After shampooing, rinse your hair with a half tablespoon of apple cider vinegar mixed with ½ cup of water. The vinegar helps to rinse away buildup and will help get your hair soft and shiny.
6. Soothe A Sore Throat
Soothe a sore throat by gargling a water/apple cider vinegar mixture.
7. Add Life To Your Flowers
If you like to decorate with a vase of flowers, add a couple of tablespoons to your flower water and it will help to extend the life of your cut flowers.
8. Drain Cleaner
Mix baking soda and vinegar to clear your drains. First pour the baking soda down the drain and follow it with vinegar. It will clean your drains without the use of chemicals.
9. Ease Sore Muscles
We’ve all heard of ice baths and epsom salt baths, but did you know vinegar can help with sore muscles too? Dampen a cloth with vinegar and place on the sore muscles for 10-15 minutes to help ease the pain.
10. Sticker Remover
Vinegar is a great way to remove stuck on stickers that you are fighting with.
11. Get Rid Of Ants
If you are having an issue with ants in your home, wipe down your countertops with vinegar to help chase them away.
12. Weed Killer
Fill a spray bottle with white vinegar and a drop or two of dish soap. Spray this mixture onto weeds in your yard to kill them without harsh chemicals or pesticides.
13. Glass Cleaner
Spray vinegar onto windows or mirrors and wipe clean to rid your glass of spots and streaks.
14. Clean Your Dishwasher
Put a dishwasher safe cup rightside up inside your dishwasher (top shelf) filled with vinegar and run the cycle. The vinegar will clean and sanitize the machine.
15. Skin Toner
Soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and wipe your face with it to tone your skin.
